This research uncovered a recent shift towards energy efficiency improvements:
• 58% of renters say they would be less likely to consider a property with an energy rating of D or below
• 54% of landlords have made energy efficiency improvements in the last 6 months
• 63% have brought forward upgrades because of sharp inflationary pressures
78% of landlords are now aware of the proposed Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) regulations, but other factors driving the importance of energy efficiency to tenants shouldn't be ignored.
