Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) training for landlords

Description

Since March 20th 2019 new legislation requires landlords to ensure they are meeting their existing responsibilities with regards to property standards and safety. Under this Act landlords and letting agents are required to ensure residential lets including common areas are fit for human habitation at the beginning of the tenancy and throughout. This act provides an additional means for tenants to seek redress by giving them the power to hold their landlord to account without having to rely on their local authority to do so.

What are your new found responsibilities towards the safety of your tenant? How can you best prove you have been diligent and safety conscious? Learn how to devise your own assessments and the processes you should adopt to not find yourself on the defending side of a Court room.
Learn how to best protect your tenant and safe guard yourself from personal injury claims, rent repayment orders and uncapped fines.
The purpose of this course is to provide the confidence and knowledge to the landlord to undertake a Fit for Purpose assessment in respect of identifying health and safety hazards.
This course will act as an important tool for property professionals to demonstrate to local enforcement officers and tenants they have a clear understanding of the legislation.
